Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
